Toshiba Buy PS3 Factory

After defeat in the disc format war, Toshiba has decided to buy Sony’s Cell processor chip factory in western Japan for $835 million. Toshiba plans to get more benefit from PS3 production. Looks llike TOSHIBA can’t continue to produced HD-DVD for XBox360 which need HD DVD to be played.
Also interesting the PS3, which outsold Microsoft’s Xbox 360 last month, previously had few ties to Toshiba. On the contrary, Toshiba has been Microsoft’s number one ally in hardware manufacturing. Though the plant will be bought by Toshiba, it will be run by a joint-venture co-owned by both Sony and Toshiba. Toshiba as partnership from SONY, together will produces cell processors and RSX graphic chips for Playstation3. According to the text, looks Toshiba will promoted to SONY’s victory for the console war.
