Blu-ray as a winner from The Battle Disc Format

Blu-ray from SONY wins format disc battle from its rival Toshiba HD-DVD. Toshiba as HD-DVD business also suffered recently after several major retailers like Wal-Mart and Target and rental companies Netflix and Blockbuster said they preferred Blu-ray products. Blu-ray is backed by five major Hollywood studios. And after Toshiba’s announcement, Universal Studios announced it’s converting as well. The good news for owners of HD-DVD players is you can still use them to play your regular DVDs. You just won’t get the quality you originally paid for.
