The big News come to us reader, Pioneer will pull out of the Plasma TV market. After long time before Pioneer used to be a leader in the market, but in recent years they have fallen behind companies like LG and Matsushita. They are currently talks with Matsushita, they want make the panels for Matsushita’s TV’s. Pioneer ended the year with more than 145$ million in debt. With this move they hope to be in the black by 2010.

”We have judged that maintaining the cost competitiveness of plasma display panels, or PDPs, at projected sales volumes will be difficult going forward,” Pioneer said in a statement. There is no word whether they will be laying off employees, or just putting them in come other part of the company.
