OpenOffice.Org launched the first beta version 3.0 of OpenOffice, the free alternative to Microsoft Office. Now OpenOffice 3.0 can be implemented OSX in natively. Another major addition is support for version 1.2 of the format ODT (The open format native OpenOffice) format and rival Microsoft OOXML. In this version were also redesigned almost all the icons and “StartCenter” since that is where all applications can be executed.

Other parts that were important are improved export to PDF and support for the implementation of macro made in VBA. If you want to download OpenOffice 3.0, you can download but i recommended to be waiting more less time for full version, cause this is still beta version which is not yet finished and therefore is likely to contain errors.
