T-Mobile introduces the new Sidekick 2008. It facilities include GSM network on the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz band support and data transfer via GPRS and EDGE. It also equipped a 2.6 “WQVGA TFT display with a resolution of 400 x 240, a 2 megapixel camera, message service in the form of SMS / MMS also IM and receiving e-mail via POP3 / IMAP and SMTP. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and a microSD card slot are also included in the Sidekick 2008 and the battery has enough power for 5 hours talk time.
As expected, Apple has launched iPhone at Austria and Ireland by 399 euros for the 8GB model and 499 euros for the 16. T-Mobile will do the honours in Austria while O2 is following suit in Ireland, although the latter does not enjoy the voice mailbox or visual WiFi as a free offers its namesake in the UK. None of these countries will also with a fee unlimited. The official launch is more than anything because informally circulating a few iPhones in both countries.
